Last Post

This will be my last blog post for The Boating Buzz.  This will be a busy weekend for us with Easter egg hunts, the Easter Bunny visiting our house, Mass and Sunday Brunch.  I do not plan on taking the boat out onto the lake, but I'm sure Todd will find some free time to take the boat out.  I am posting a picture of the full moon that Todd took while out on the lake Sunday night.  I have enjoyed sharing our new boat with you all.  Best of luck to everyone.  Kelley

Sunday Afternoon Ride

We spent the afternoon enjoying some family time on the lake.  It was a beautiful afternoon and we had fun just boating around looking at other boats.  I took some picture of a sailboat.  That is more of my kind of boat.  We also saw baby geese that were born.  I hope to spend more time on the boat once I am finished with graduate school and the regular school year. 

Spring Break

We just had spring break this past week and did not go out onto the boat.  Claire, Thomas and I fun week meeting friends to play, eat lunch and dinner, and go bowling.  My in-laws are in town for the weekend so Todd and his dad went out for an early morning fishing trip (6:00 am).  Thomas woke up not feeling well and do not think taking him on the boat this weekend would be good for his stomach.  I am posting pictures of our Spring Break fun. 

First Fishing Adventure

Today was Claire and Thomas's first time fishing.  We didn't catch any fish, but had fun trying!  Claire dropped her fishing pole into the lake and Thomas really didn't understand what he was doing.  Todd is going to take Claire for her own lesson without Thomas tomorrow.  Maybe by this summer Thomas will understand what he is doing.  We have a lake in our neighborhood and we may need to start practicing there.  We did see several turtles on logs laying in the sun.  I tried to take a picture, but we were too far away.  Hopefully next time we will have a picture of our first fish:o)

Saturday at the Lake

We had a fun afternoon boating on the lake today.  We only spent a few hours on the water today.  The water was very wavey today.  I did try and drive the boat for the first time.  We didn't go faster than 20 mile per hour with me behind the wheel.   Boating is a very hard skill to learn and will have to keep practicing.  I took some more pictures of our family fun.

The Boat is BACK!!!

Our boat is finally back in the water after the repairs, but the weather this weekend is not looking good.  I am just hoping that we have great weather for our spring break at the beginning of April so that we can spend some more time on the boat.  Claire and Thomas have asked very day this week about the boat:o)  I guess since I will not be boating this week, I can catch up on my long "TO DO" list.

We had our 3rd annual Math Night at Home Depot on Tuesday. It was a very fun evening spent with family and co-workers.

Boat Repairs

Our boat has been in the boat shop since last Monday undergoing some much needed repairs.  It was wonderful weather in Georgia this weekend, but being the boating person I am not I did not miss spending the whole weekend at the lake.  I asked Todd what we were going to do for spring break in two weeks and he said spend time on the boat.  I think once I am finished with this last class all of my time will be spent on the water.  I guess I better get some sea legs:o)

Boating Adventure-Day 1

Yesterday was our first family boating adventure.  We waited until the afternoon so that the weather could warm up.  Boating is a lot of work and I have so much to learn.  We took the boat from one end of Allatoona Lake to the other end.  We stopped and had a late lunch on a restaurant on the lake.  As we were making our way back to our dock, we hit a sandbar and were stuck in the middle of the lake.  As Todd tried to set us free I screamed several times.  I really am not a boat person and bad luck seems to follow me every time I get on a boat.  Todd is now going to get the prop fixed and we are going to try our luck again today.  Wish us luck:o)

Topic:Boating

After trying to make up my mind about which topic I will be blogging about I have picked boating.  My husband has just bought our first boat and I know nothing about them.  We are going to take our first boating adventure this Sunday.  I have a lot to learn before then:o)

Still searching for my topic that I want to blog about.  I can't decide between an educational trend or something personal.  I am going to keep searching for the perfect subject:o)
