The Boat is BACK!!!

Our boat is finally back in the water after the repairs, but the weather this weekend is not looking good.  I am just hoping that we have great weather for our spring break at the beginning of April so that we can spend some more time on the boat.  Claire and Thomas have asked very day this week about the boat:o)  I guess since I will not be boating this week, I can catch up on my long "TO DO" list.

  1. My sister had a boat near Ocean City, Maryland for a long time and was always making repairs or upgrading, but she loved it. Because of fuel prices, they rarely went away from the dock.

  2. A novice question: did they repair or replace the prop? If they replaced it, I think you should mount the damaged one as a gift to your husband. I still chuckle when I think of the visual of the boat grounded on a sandbar and you screaming . . . now that would have been a family video to post!

  3. I'm happy to hear that your boat is out of "dry dock" and ready for more adventures. When I was in elementary school in California, we shared ownership of a ski boat in Long Beach. We got swamped once when we were greeting (with thousands of other boats) the final voyage of the Queen Mary as it came in to dock for the last time. May you make many memories with your family.

  4. If the weather prevents you from boating this weekend, I know you will relish the opportunity to get some "catch up" work done. Just don't forget to take some time to smell the flowers.

  6. When we had a boat there was always something needing repair. It always seems when you plan a big weekend it gets wrecked. So just spur of the minute excursions are always fun. Thanks for sending the info on the Home Depot night.

  7. That catch up day occured today for us...Snow Day for April Fools! How evil mother nature is. Do you spend the majority of the summer out on the boat? As a potential boat owner, we or I am trying to convince my wife that this would be a great investment. We are not looking for a huge boat, just something to cruise around the bay on. Do you find you are fixing the boat more than you are on it?
